This manual and the accompanying workbook are part of the CENAPS Wellness and Recovery Workbook Series. This series is designed to provide your clients with step-by-step guidance on how to embrace a wellness lifestyle and integrate it into their recovery programs. It will bring added value to your program, particularly in terms of strengthening the qualitative aspects of your clients recovery and assisting them in safeguarding against relapse.
As an addictions specialist, the instructor plays an instrumental role in assisting clients in processing the lessons in a structured group setting. Each segment of this manual includes suggestions for an introductory lecture, homework assignment, follow-up group sessions, and individual one-on-one counseling. While this series is primarily targeted to people in recovery from alcoholism and/or drug addiction, the underlying principles of wellness and recovery are directly applicable to recovery from other addictive disorders.
